Scholarships
Apart of Accommodation Scholarship for Erasmus+ students TBU nor our faculty offers any extra scholarships for incoming students. Nevertheless students may utilize other options offered by various mobility programmes. The list of possibilities is hidden here.
Internal TBU and FAI rules related to the scholarships:
Scholarships for students studying in study programs in the English language
- Scholarship from Rectorate
For students in their first year of studies. The scholarship shall be paid automatically, i.e. without a request by the student. The scholarship amounts from 0 to CZK 3,000 per month.
The amount of this scholarship for the 2024/25 academic year was set at CZK 0

- Faculty Scholarship
For students in the second and the following academic year of studies.- Extraordinary Scholarship Scheme in Support of Studies at the Faculty of Applied Informatics. The scholarship shall be paid automatically, i.e. without a request by the student.
The amount of this scholarship for the 2024/25 academic year was set at CZK 0
- Scholarship for outstanding study results.
Scholarship for outstanding study results is for students who achieved excellent study results in the previous academic year. The students must fully finish the whole year of study in the last academic year with a weighted average of up to 1.50.
The scholarship shall be paid automatically, i.e. without a request by the student and it is paid one-time and it is for 10 month.
The amount of the scholarship is graded according to the study average and example amount of money from academic year 2024/25 is:
- Study average 1.00 – 1.10 = CZK 3,000 per month,
- study average 1.11 – 1.30 = CZK 1,200 per month,
- study average 1.31 – 1.50 = CZK 500 per month.
The actual amounts awarded to each category are derived from the resources earmarked for merit scholarships. The amount of these funds is proposed by the Dean of FAI and approved by the Academic senate of FAI.
- Extraordinary scholarship for outstanding study results.
A student has the possibility to apply for an Extraordinary Scholarship for excellent study results obtained during their studies, if they do not fulfill the conditions for granting the above mentioned due scholarship for outstanding study results.
The condition for granting the extraordinary scholarship is the fulfillment of at least 85 percent of all credits from all of the prescribed examinations and classified credits of compulsory, elective and optional subjects they enrolled in the previous semester, and the attainment of a study average of 1.50. The basis for granting an extraordinary scholarship is based on the average student classification for the given semester.
The amount of the scholarship depends on the study average and is paid as the relevant part of a regular merit scholarship according to the successfully completed subjects.
