The Special Term of SFE

The special term of the State Final Exam (SFE) will be held on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024.

The procedure for students who have the September 2024 SFE date as regular or have been excused from the June 2024 SFE:

1. Students who have been graded with a grade of “F – Insufficient” in the defence part of the
   Bachelor’s/Master’s Thesis (hereinafter referred to as “BT/MT”) or in the examinations in subjects of the
   Final State Examinations (hereinafter referred to as “SFE”) have the possibility to retake the SFE in
   September 2024.
2. The student must submit a written application for the September 2024 FSE no later than Friday,
   July 19th, 2024, to the Study Department of the Faculty of Applied Informatics (hereinafter referred to
   as “FAI”). The application form (General Request) is available on the faculty’s website, direct link (after

Date of Corrective SFE

The date for the corrective SFE is set for Tuesday, September, 10th, 2024. Applicants who do not use this
date will have the opportunity to defend their BT/MT and final examination in June 2025.

Duties of the student

Students wishing to participate in the September 2024 term of the SFE must complete the following
obligations:

1. 1. Students who have failed in the regular term of the FSE in the part “defence of the BT/MT and have
      been assessed in this part of the FSE with the grade “F – insufficient” shall deliver to the secretary of
      the institute administering the relevant study programme a new signed BT/MT assignment
      document created jointly with the thesis supervisor, in accordance with the recommendation of the
      FSE committee, no later than Friday, July 26th, 2024. The assignment document should be created
      in Word using the following template:  (NOT in IS/STAG) with
      highlighted changes from the original assignment!
   2. When submitting the assignment document, make an appointment to pick up the official BT/MT
      assignment from the department that administers the relevant degree program.
   3. Students must submit the application form for the SFE and BT/MT with all the requirements
      according to the instructions for submitting the BT/MT no later than Friday, August 23rd, 2024
      according to the instructions on the FAI website (see Student FAI / Final State Exams / Correction
      Term (after registration).

1. As this is your regular term of SFE, since you have been excused from the June 2024 term, you are not submitting a new version of the BT/DT (the June 2024 version remains valid), you are only submitting the application form for the SFE!
2. Next possibility for SFE is June 2025.

State Final Exam can only be repeated once!
